History of WPC Decking in Singapore
For years, timber from natural wood has been the go-to option for building outdoor decks. However, limitations associated with natural timber, such as maintenance costs and natural biodegradability, have led to the advent of Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) decking.
In spite of promises from the overseas manufacturers across USA through Europe, the first few iterations of WPC decking installed in Singapore have ultimately failed to stand the test of time (and the elements). Several defects and problems surfaced eventually, such as unremovable stains, cracking and deformities.
