ENV-Shield WPC Decking
History of WPC Decking in Singapore
For years, timber from natural wood has been the go-to option for building outdoor decks. However, limitations associated with natural timber, such as maintenance costs and natural biodegradability, have led to the advent of Wood-Plastic Composite (WPC) decking.
In spite of promises from the overseas manufacturers across USA through Europe, the first few iterations of WPC decking installed in Singapore have ultimately failed to stand the test of time (and the elements). Several defects and problems surfaced eventually, such as unremovable stains, cracking and deformities.
Nam Soon’s Response
Not unlike the several other timber decking companies in Singapore, Nam Soon also had its fair share of case studies in regards to failed WPC decking installations.
Which fortified us with the impetus to improve and set things right.
Therefore, we are proud to introduce the ENV-Shield WPC Decking. It is the result of understanding the effects that the local climate and everyday usage had on WPC decking, as well as the continual research and development efforts undertaken by our trusted manufacturer.
Today, the ENV-Shield WPC Decking has made its presence felt across the island, having been installed at several prominent locations such as Lee Kong Chian School of Business (SMU) and BreadTalk IHQ, on top of the countless private residences and apartments.
Features and Advantages of ENV-Shield WPC Decking

This special protective layer is made from engineering grade polymer, and it offers the following advantages:
Our ENV-Shield WPC deck boards are currently available in the following range of beautiful colours, designed to emulate the natural look of wood.
